“When I want to take God at his word exactly,

I take a peep out the window at His Creation.

Because that, darling, He makes fresh for us every day.”

                                     Barbara Kingsolver, The Poisonwood Bible.

About Deborah Coburn:

I am a ‘green’ interior designer who educates and consults on colors, products and principles inspired by Nature. My design orientation is rooted in the concept of biomimicry, a philosophy that studies Nature's life-affirming strategies, and mimics this wisdom to make sustainable design decisions. Examples of how I approach design include looking to Nature for interior and exterior color palettes and helping clients transform what they have into what they want.

I have been a full service interior designer for thirty plus years and a ‘green’ designer for the past 15 years, working with clients in New York, Arizona, Montana and Northern California.

My goal as a designer, colorist and environmentalist is to create the maximum amount of beauty and well-being with the minimum amount of consumption and waste, and to educate the public on colors and principles inspired by Nature.
